Fast Fashion – A consumer-oriented analysis to reduce mass consumption

The project "Fast Fashion", which is located at the Research Center for General and Textile Market Economy, is funded by the Ministry of Innovation, Science and Research of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia within the Competence Center Consumer Research NRW (KVF) with a good 31,000 euros.

Ecological requirements of non-governmental organizations

Ecological aspects of sustainability move increasingly into the focus of various stakeholder groups (NGOs, trade, public). There is a variety of campaigns with a view to the environmental aspects of the textile and clothing industry. These are usually covered by the media and therefore create an awareness in the general public / customers.

Study on the image of the industry

To attract and to retain highly qualified staff early has become a central problem for companies in the context of increasing globalization and liberalization of markets and the ongoing demographic shift. A lack of suitable professionals inhabits growth and prevents the long-term success of companies.

Compliance

Whether due to ecologically unsound production processes, the use of hazardous chemicals, a lack of safety standards or lack of respect for labor rights - regularly  the German textile and clothing industry sees itself faced with serious allegations.
